# Quick Start (3D)

> Create a small IFC house in Studio, inspect it in 3D and refine it in chat.

Build a simple house directly in Studio. This example needs no Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino or Blender connection and no existing model.

## 1. Send first prompt

Start a new chat for the house using the pencil button at the top right. If you already have an empty conversation open, use it for this task.

![Complete Windows Studio window with an empty New Conversation, GPT-6.1 Sol selected and the message box.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura-preview/iFa5oVMlS2v0E-5T/alpha/images/studio/studio-first-conversation.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=iFa5oVMlS2v0E-5T\&q=85\&s=0f2acc2cea5d4d30f47b47dfd0182036)

Open Connected Apps beside the message box and leave No apps selected. Choose GPT-6.1 Sol in the AI model picker. Your account needs access to this model.

Paste this into the message box and click Send:

> Create a simple single-storey house as an IFC model. Use metres: an 8 × 6 m rectangular footprint, a ground-floor slab, four external walls 3 m high and a gable roof with its ridge along the 8 m direction. Use light walls and a dark roof. Keep this first version simple, with no interior partitions, doors or windows. Give me the IFC file and open a 3D view so I can inspect it.

![Complete Windows Studio window with GPT-6.1 Sol selected, the house prompt entered once and Send at the bottom right.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura-preview/iFa5oVMlS2v0E-5T/alpha/images/studio/studio-first-prompt.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=iFa5oVMlS2v0E-5T\&q=85\&s=317fe7fe7392d57168f7c6d9b68b72a1)

Wait for the reply and the model to open in the viewer. AI may ask a question; answer it in the same chat. Your file name and some modelling details may differ from this example.

## 2. Open and inspect the result

If the viewer has not opened beside the chat, ask AI to open the IFC in a 3D view. Use Fit scene in isometric view to see the whole house. Choose Orbit from the navigation menu to look around it, and use the mouse wheel to zoom.

![Complete Windows Studio window with the house conversation and the generated IFC open in the 3D viewer.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura-preview/iFa5oVMlS2v0E-5T/alpha/images/studio/house-studio-result.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=iFa5oVMlS2v0E-5T\&q=85\&s=8e1b3149c0f45ca8e4289f2f2d1a2f03)

Check that the slab, four walls and roof are present. Use Structure to find elements and Details to inspect a selected element's information. Read the reply for any assumptions, such as roof pitch or wall thickness, that the prompt left open.

## 3. Refine it in the same chat

Ask for one specific change:

> Change the roof to terracotta. Keep the footprint, walls and roof geometry unchanged.

Inspect the updated model in the viewer. Keep using this chat to refine the same house; start a new chat for a separate task.

## 4. Download the IFC

With the result open, click Download and export in the viewer's top bar and choose Download source IFC. Save the file on your computer.

![Complete Windows Studio window with Download source IFC available in the viewer's export menu.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura-preview/iFa5oVMlS2v0E-5T/alpha/images/studio/house-studio-download.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=iFa5oVMlS2v0E-5T\&q=85\&s=e327ad714fe0ce9c49ae14e1ae7e9fcf)

## Take the model further

Ideatura can bring your model into Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino or Blender so you can continue working on it there.
