1. Select an app
To work in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino or Blender, open Connected Apps and select the exact document you need. This example has a Revit document selected. Choose No apps for a task that uses only attached files. You can also name a running application in your request. Ideatura can find and connect it; if several documents match, it asks which one you mean. Disconnecting a document removes it from the chat and leaves the application open. If a document is marked Read-only, open a writable copy before requesting changes.
2. MCP connections
MCP connects another AI application to tools provided by Ideatura. Skip this section if you are working directly in Studio. For that separate connection, follow its setup guide and check Settings → MCP → Enable MCP server; it is enabled here.
3. Recover connections
Read the message to identify which connection needs attention. If Studio shows Waiting for Revit / Check Revit to continue, switch to Revit and check for a dialog needing a response. The tooltip asks you to check and close open dialogs. The message identifies waiting execution; it does not establish the cause or confirm that the task completed.
